Disposal
This is a translation. The German version is the binding one: Entsorgung. The return options below apply in Germany; in other countries, please follow the local rules for old electrical devices.
Old electrical devices
The KORTLEN mouse is an electrical device. The crossed-out wheeled bin on the mouse or its packaging means: old electrical devices do not belong in household waste. You must hand them in separately from household waste.
In Germany, you can return an old device free of charge:
- at a collection point of your town or district, for example a recycling centre
- at retailers who must take back old electrical devices: retailers with a sales area for electrical devices of at least 400 m², online retailers with storage and shipping areas for electrical devices of at least 400 m², and food retailers with a sales area of at least 800 m² who offer electrical devices several times a year. Small devices such as a mouse (no edge longer than 25 cm) can be handed in there without buying a new device.
Our storage and shipping area is smaller than 400 m². So we are not obliged to take back old devices, and at present we do not take them back.
Batteries and lamps
The KORTLEN mouse contains no batteries, no rechargeable batteries and no lamps. Its LEDs are fixed on the circuit board. In general: batteries that are not built firmly into a device, and lamps that can be removed without destroying them, must be taken out before you hand in the device, and disposed of separately.
Personal data
You are responsible for deleting personal data on an old device before you hand it in.

Packaging
We have registered our packaging with the Central Agency Packaging Register (LUCID registration number DE4743373806443). Our sales packaging participates in the dual system of Reclay Systems GmbH. In Germany, dispose of it through the collection at your home: cardboard and paper in the waste paper, plastic packaging in the yellow bag or yellow bin.
